We were in the South End of Boston, looking north to the Charles River. There, the city hosts a yearly fireworks display with musical accompaniment from the Boston Pops. We couldn’t hear the music, but we could see the fireworks behind Boston’s Prudential Center.

Happy Memorial Day! This shot was taken during Memorial Day Weekend in 2008, on a beach in Maine. Memorial Day Weekend is the unofficial start of Summer, but Maine was still sweatshirt weather then. We found this shell, which is bigger than most, on the beach.

Sunset Beach on Oahu
Tonight, the epic television series, LOST, ends after a six year run on ABC. I have been a LOST devotee for all six seasons, and I’m a little sad to see the show come to and end. What better tribute than a photo of Sunset Beach on Oahu? Oahu is the same island where LOST is filmed, and here we see the sun setting on one of its beautiful beaches.
